Total War: NAPOLEON App Reviews

Hi, I’m a huge total war fan! I got Napoleon because I wanted to play as the french (with Napoleon), but I keep gettng crashes and the A.I. is totally bugged… What do I have to do for a refund? Still love the game though… I think I’ll have to stick to my destop P.C for games...

I am playing on a slightly older mac but with better than minimum specs and finding that the game crashes after a couple turns of a campaign. In my opinion the game is not worth buying until the issues are fixed

The audio was messed up and then it crashed within 10 mins of play. I blame myself for ignoring everyones warnings. I assumed I would be fine because I have a new upgraded macbook pro. I was wrong. Apple should refund peoples money if a game won’t work. I only payed $10 but if they keep their app store a gamble then people will simply not use it.

Gameplay is great, I rarely encounter crashes thanks to tips on other reviews about turning on game center before launching. The naval battles are probably the best part. (Granted it’s really easy to get focused on one ship)

**Update the game no longer runs at all. startup followed by immediate crash.** This game was awesome. I would have given it 5 stars. However after OS updates and no updates from the game makers, this game is unplayable. The game crashes for me about every 10-15 mintues, right to the desktop. Sometimes even more frequently. Nothing I do changes it. No matter what I am doing; moving an army, clicking on a city, etc etc. It just crashes…

Ne marche plus depuis fin 2015 sur el capitan

Game crashes while loading, since El Capitan I had no success getting the game running. The game in itself was great though.

Every time I start the game, game Center pops up. it doesnt show me anything after I sign in, and if game Center does not work properly I can play the game. as it stands I cant tell you how good the game is or if you should buy because I cannot play Myself.

Really Good Game but there are full of bugs which need to be fixed. Please release an update for this game, until then I rate NTW mac version 3 stars.

Can’t believe, that they are unable to get it to work with the new iMac. That is really unacceptable. Sad, i love the game as I play it on my wife’s PC.

Crashes so often after I have won a battle that I thank auto save. Sometimes have to replay the same battle 2 or 3 times. That said I find the interface better than empire…except for the units sometimes reacting weirdly to commands. Not bad, but i have shut down the game and played something else... frustrated (on more than one occasion). btw i have early 2013 mac book pro maxed out with 8gb memory and a 500gb sddrive. (but I can only play on medium graphics level due to lag)

When I deleted every single file and app in order to fix my mac, I had to delete the game and reinstall it. When I left it installing over night, it didnt work. I tried to reinstall the game after wards, it kept saying that "An error has occurred" and it wouldnt let me download it. Its a good game, but bad for people like me who cant play it.

After about 10 hours of gameplay, game crashed mid battle. And again, and again. Hours wasted. Contacted Feral, who were unable to explain crashes but were happy to send me through hoops for endless hours of my time. Bad customer service, no compensation or credit given despite them being unable to figure out the problem. Im running an i7 3.5 GHz 8 Gig imac, best iMac available on market right now, but still wont work. Contacting customer service was a waste of time and not helpful at all. Waste of time and money.

I’ve played a total of around 6 hours on this game so far, and havn’t experienced any issues as of yet. Too bad these Mac’s can’t really support the graphics power house that total war is. Playing on 2013 Macbook pro 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5; 5 GB 1600 Mhz DDR3 and Intel HD Graphics 4000 1024 mb

Before and after battle, during scenarios, at any given time, this game just closes down.

The game is very fun. I’m big on strategy games and I love when you can actually have battles and control your troops, which this game allows. That being said, I’ve attempted to download the game several times, even following some of the instructions listed in other reviews yet the game dowloads but never advances past the “Napolean Total War” screen. If you can figure out a way around this problem I recommend buying the game because I have previously played it and only ran into a few problems during gameplay, but if not, do not waste your money on this game.
